What's New in Energy?

Throughout my day I continually look across the industry for new and innovative energy saving ideas that can save you money. I've created the following page just for you. But this is a two way street, I would love to hear about what you're doing to try to manage your energy costs. - Contact Me!

Your business can become more energy efficient and save money by understanding how energy is billed and how various energy programs are applied. A good place to start, our comprehensive audit of the facility and bills is the first step in getting an action plan for saving energy. The Energy Audit will pay for itself with funds recovered from the Utilities. Once the key energy problems of a building have been identified through the energy audit, the next step is to select the most cost-effective measures or combination thereof to improve efficiency. Implementing the measures will then be painless. In addition, there are a number of incentive and financing programs available to help shorten the payback period and resources needed. We will find competitive electricity and gas rates for your operation. Businesses all have unique needs, usage patterns, consumption levels and risk profiles. The needs of a company using gas or electricity in their production process in an old factory are very different from those of the property manager of a new commercial office tower or a chain of retail stores. And the way Utilities charge is just as different. We will review your needs and describe your options, enabling you to make a proper decision. We will advise you as to when to lock your firm in a long term rate and when to operate on an open rate, based on the many factors that affect it. This will reduce one aspect of your operating costs. We will assist you in saving significant dollars by having the right knowledge at the right time. It is our primary job to keep current in the area of energy usage.
Get regular detailed expense reports to better manage your facility maintenance and development strategy. Identify cost drivers, understand cost structure, and make better decisions by tracking expenses by location, region, banner, vendor or problem category. Simplifying the invoicing process and reducing your expenses, we can receive the service vendors’ invoices for you. We then review and audit them against work order documentation to ensure quality and job cost accuracy. Approved invoices are then forwarded to your accounts payable department for payment to the vendor. This enables you to cut costs and times spent on non-core operations, as well as simplify the invoicing process.
By our efforts over the past 10 years to build the above 2 service offerings, we have developed our own software and processes to effectively manage the flow of documents through the system. In completing this exercise, we now realize the costs most companies may face in their own efforts to implement similar processes within their organizations. There are more cost effective solutions and we can help to identify these. Powerhouse now has the capabilities to assist any client with a cost effective program to capture data, manage document flow and provide electronic, web enabled images within a secure online portal. We will first assess with the client the exact requirements they are hoping to achieve within a data management program. Obviously there are many levels with which this type of program can be taken to. Powerhouse can provide a fully integrated solution whereby we can act as a third party administrator from start to finish or simply develop the appropriate tools whereby they can be deployed within the client’s current processes. Or, a variation which meets somewhere in the middle. The key is gaining a close understanding of our Client’s business so that we can identify specific processes that need to be incorporated in developing a unique Data Management Program for each Client.
